February's New Hot Designer

Each month, my goal is to find an new designer to share with you. Of course we love Oscar, Vera and Monique Lhuillier. I can admit I have always dreamed of wearing one of their gowns. I also like to find new designers who are ready to make a stand in the industry.

For February the winner is Jenny Lee. 5 Stars on the Red Carpet

A beautiful mermaid gown with a stunning rosette to make a statement and can bring tears to any one's eyes.

This Chantilly lace and satin gown will be great for the beaches of Jamaica.
You know I can't forget my religious brides. This gown is strapless but can be worn with the French cut jacket.

Evening Gala

I am not engaged, but I will be one day. Hey, this month is all about love. I am praying to God for Prince charming to fall from the sky. It can happen. That story is for another blog but I wanted to share how I was feeling.

I was talking to an older lady the other day and she mentioned she saw a Black Tie wedding in Brazil. I said to myself " I love that idea" I decided to research some gowns that would work.

This beautiful silhouette was designed by Eric Angeline. You can find her boutique in Atlanta, GA or check her website http://www.ericaangeline.com/. The black gown can be worn with a feathered veil. I love the idea. The photographer Demetrious Noble captured the essence of the gown. Great job!

Can we say F-I-E-R-C-E. Enzonai A-line gown has intricate beading and is available in Silver or Grey.

First Lady Michelle Obama !!!!!!!

I was moved today with the inauguration but when I saw Michelle Obama walk out with the Jason Wu white gown. I broke down and cried. I know Obama is the first African American president but Michelle is also taking a stand for black and Latino women out there who are curvy and have beautiful brown skin. I am so proud !!!

Religion and The Bride

I was raised in a Pentecostal church. For some who may not know this denomination, it is a Christian church with a strict doctrine. When the day comes for me to walk down the aisle, my grandmother would love for me to wear a dress that is not revealing. I thought I was the only one in this dilemma. I went into a bridal salon and heard a young lady who was Jewish request a dress with a covered bodice. So I am thinking; WOW! We must have the same grandmother. What does a modern bride do when she wants to look chic and trendy?

Sisters on the Red Carpet

I love the Red Carpet but there are not enough colored women representing. So all my Latinas, African Americans, Caribbeans and Asians let us see who worked the red carpet at the Golden Globes.

Viola Davis in Max Azria V-neck gown. Ladies, what more can I say? 5 Stars

OMG!!!! The necklace is so beautiful. Eve Mendes is wearing Dior. I am speechless because the dress is so fab I have no words to express how I am feeling right now. Some may say that the bow on the side is too much. I love it!!!

Taraji P Henson in J. Mendel and Beyoncé is wearing Eli Saab

J Lo in gold Marchesa. Ladies, if you have the money I would suggest a Marchesa wedding gown. You are guaranteed a fabulous gown.
